Unless you're producing instrumental music, the lyrics are arguably the most important part of your song. Make sure your lyrics are organized as per the different elements of a song structure. They fit the music beautifully, incorporate detail and imagery, and clearly tell your story.  Once you have got your hook or key chord progression, you can easily build the rest of your song around it.
